Summer in the city!
Berlin is a beautiful and vibrant city, especially during summer. Everyone is outdoors and there are numerous events going on and things and places to see. When temperatures are rising, the best thing to do is to get some good ice cream. There are of course hundreds of ice cream parlors in Berlin, but some are just better than others.
Anna Durkes is one of the great ice cream vendors in Berlin. It is located in Kreuzberg, near Planufer, a great hangout when the weather is nice. At Anna Durkes you get homemade ice cream that tastes just like in Italy. They sell several different flavors and only use fresh and high quality ingredients, which is one of the reasons why it tastes so good. The texture is creamy and soft. You should consider a second or third helping, to try out as many flavors as possible.
Since it is so close to the wonderful Admiralsbrücke and Planufer, you can get some refreshing ice cream before hanging out at the water front and enjoying the bright side of life.
