Chipps is a mixture between a café and a restaurant. It is located in Berlin Mitte, but not on one of the overcrowded main streets. It is tucked away from the beaten tracks. This gives the whole place a relaxed and local atmosphere that is really enjoyable.
They serve a variety of different breakfasts and it tastes very good. They serve great pancakes, as well as nice poached eggs and much more. Chipps is a good place to start into the day, especially if you want to explore the many shops around Friedrichstraße and do some sightseeing in Berlin Mitte. Since this place is not in the middle of the hustle and bustle, it is not too hard to find a table here. Sometimes, on weekend and at lunch hour, it can get a bit crowded.
The interior design of Chipps is trendy and has an industrial charm to it. The staff is relaxed and nice and the prices are ok. If you want to have a good vegetarian dinner, this is also a good place to come to. You should reserve a table in the evening though, just to be sure.
