Else Club / Kreuzberg / Berlin
Entrance Fee: 5 €Dieser Beitrag ist auch verfügbar auf: Deutsch
Else is an open air club and a branch of another club, Salon zur Wilden Renate.
The club is located at the clubbing mile between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain and is especially popular among party goers on hot summer days and nights because here you can dance in the sunshine or under the moonlit sky. Treptower Park is close by, as well as Badeschiff and Club der Visionäre. The location could not be better. The design is a little worn and shabby and they took effort to make it look provisional. It fits right into the popular look of Berlin Clubs.
A lot of wooden planks have been used to create a dance floor and a sun deck. You have a great view over the river Spree. A bar sells the usual drinks at moderate prices. 16 loud speakers spread electro sounds. The music that is played is quite good, depending of course on the DJ. There can be good ones but also not so good ones.
The club is quite nice and a good stopover between clubs. The door policy is mostly very relaxed. The big sun terrace is a wonderful place to chill and listen to music while enjoying the view. The biggest plus is that here you can dance on a summer afternoon just because you feel like it. Its fun. The dress code is casual, wearing black is not a must, but you should not be too chic or posh.
Sometimes the club is a little empty in the afternoons but this generally changes when evening comes.
