Flea Market at Fehrbelliner Platz / Berlin
Dieser Beitrag ist auch verfügbar auf: Deutsch
This flea market is not as popular and well known as some of the other flea markets in Berlin but one worth visiting. The market is very nice and you can find great bargains here. A lot of private persons are trying to sell their things here. So you never know what you are going to find. There are of course commercial vendors as well but even their prices are quite reasonable. What makes this flea market so special is the relaxed and the neighbourly character. Here you can experience some of the authentic Berlin.
The flea market is taking place right next to the u-bahn station Fehrbelliner Platz. So getting to it is fairly easy. It can be really relaxing to just stroll through the market. The pace here is very easy going. You can get books here, as well as clothes and lots of other stuff one might need. There are also some food vendors where you can get a tasty snack. If you come to this market it is best not to go looking for something specific. If you are open for everything you are sure to find something wonderful to take home. But even if you don´t buy anything, coming here is a treat. This flea market has its very unique unpretentious charm.
Since most of the vendors only accept cash, you should take enough with you. You can always try to bargain, it often works. If you are ready for a break, there is a cool park close by where you can get great Thai street food. There is also a beer garden and café close by.
