Holzmarkt beer garden / Friedrichshain / Berlin

Holzmarkt/Pampa is a kind of a beach bar, but not really, because it is so much more than that. It is an qasis in the midst of hectic city life. Located directly at the Spree you could not ask for a better place to relax and chill out. There are deck chairs as well as crude wooden benches to sit in. You can sit at the shore of the river and let the world pass by. Music is floating through the air. A wild garden and shrubs are giving this place a rough edge that is smoothed by the playground and the colorful flags hanging in them. The ensemble has a provisional feel to it, but this is what people expect to find in Berlin. This rough charm is often used as a design concept nowadays, but seldom is it implemented as good as here.

At Holzmarkt/Pampa you can truly enjoy the moment and hang out with friends. While the boats on the Spree are passing by, there is no care in the world. The view of the Fernsehturm and the Spree could not be more lovely. You can get ice cream as well as pizza and drinks. If you have got the time, there is no reason not to spend your whole day here. During summer time it is advisable to not forget your sunglasses and sunscreen. It can get really hot and there is not much shade.
