Summer is the best season in Berlin. With all the parks and lakes, this city is a paradise. If you are looking for a nice lake, Weißer See is one of the best. It is located in the north eastern part of the city. The connection with public transport is ok.

With a depth of 10 meters it is one if the deepest lakes in Berlin. A park surrounds the lake, which is pretty and good for a nice walk. The trail around the lake is around 1,3 kilometers long. There is a big fountain in the middle of the lake which makes a pretty picture. You can rent a boat and row over the water. There is a wonderful lido on the eastern shore, where you have to pay an entrance fee, but then you can enjoy all the amenities of a private beach. It has nice sand, palm trees, a pool for kids, a playground and a sunbathing area. There is also a snack stand bar. You can sit and enjoy your refreshments as well as the wonderful view on a wooden terrace with deck chairs. There is a lifeguard that is looking out for bathers. This place has a really nice and relaxing feel to it and is highly enjoyable.

If you want to save your money, you can also enter the lake from other spots and have a swim.
