The beer garden Café am Neuen See is located at a very pretty little lake, inside the Tiergarten park. From here you can reach the shopping street Kurfürstendamm within 10 minutes as well as the interesting Berlin Zoo. Even though you are right in the heart of Berlin, this is a very tranquil and peaceful place, where you can relax and hear the birds chirping in the surrounding trees.
The café is good for a stop to find some new energy for the next round of shopping or sightseeing. It is a good place to have a drink and sit on one of the wooden benches under the shades of wonderful old trees. If you rather like to work on your tan, you can also opt for a sunny spot at the lake side.
On hot summer days this place can be rather packed as locals and tourists alike come here to relax and unwind.
