The Marheineke Market Hall is located in Kreuzberg at the end of the popular and lively Bergmannstraße. Here you can find numerous cafés and restaurants. If you are visiting the market hall you can continue to stroll around this very nice area. The hall is filled with vendors that sell food, flowers, and other products. You can eat small snacks or get full meals. Italian, Greek, German and Asian food is on offer. If you have a sweet tooth you can get a cake and a coffee. You sit on bar stools at the counter. The quality of the products on offer is quite good and the prices are fair. Something different than just going to a restaurant.

The Marheineke Market Hall is covered by a roof, so no matter what the weather is, your shopping experience will not be dampened. The hall opened in 1892 as one of 14 market halls in Berlin. After the Second World War only a handful  of these wonderful market halls were rebuilt.

Mostly locals shop and eat here. So get a feel for local Berlin and visit it.
