Schloss Diedersdorf is a manor estate located on the site of a former castle building and is one of the most popular wedding locations near Berlin. It does not look like a traditional palace but reminds one instantly of a small Bavarian marketplace. It is probably the quickest way to experience the Bavarian charm so close to Berlin.

There are several buildings grouped around a square, in which you can find restaurants, a bakery, a café, a hotel, as well as several event halls. A trip is worthwhile even if you are not attending or planning a wedding. During the summer season a very nice beer garden offers shade and refreshments with a beautiful view over the green countryside. There are several wonderful hiking trails. You can walk through the lovely countryside for hours. If you are into hiking this is a great place. There is also a small horse ranch for horse lovers.

This is a pretty location for an excursion to discover the surrounding area of Berlin.
