Gärten der Welt is a beautiful park in the northeastern part of the city.  It is located a bit on the outskirts of Berlin and it takes some time to get there, but a visit is well worth it. Here you can admire international garden art on 21 hectares. There is a lot to discover. A Japanese, Balinese, Korean, Chinese, oriental and European garden, as well as a perennial garden, a maze and ponds are all waiting to be admired. The areal is very extensive and nicely designed. Large lawns invite you to relax. Many visitors come here to spend summer days either sitting in the shade of the beautiful trees or enjoying the rays of sunshine. Visiting every part of the park takes hours. It is best not to rush but to really enjoy the nature and to take your time.

If you need a break you should go visit the Chinese garden. Everything in it was brought directly from China. Tons of material was used to create this wonderful place. Beautiful, and the center of the garden, is the big lake. On its shore you find a lovely tea house that serves a variety of different types of tea.

You can find a playground for children as well as other places to buy refreshments. Also Gärten der Welt is wheelchair accessible. The connection with public transport is not the best. If you want to come by car, there are chargeable parking spaces.
