Klunkerkranich has quickly become a cult place in Berlin. That it is situated in the middle of Neukölln, on a parking deck of a shopping arcade, only fuels the trend.

To get up you have to enter the Neukölln arcades at the entrance to the post office and then take the elevator to P5. Then follow either the signs or the hipsters that come here in droves.

The beautiful Klunkerkranich does not only offer one of the best views over Berlin, which can take your breath away, but it has also a very casual and relaxed atmosphere. The former parking deck has been redesigned and now resembles a hippie garden project. Everywhere there are wooden flower beds in which herbs and other plants are grown. In between there are wooden benches to rest. Behind the entrance, the actual rooftop terrace begins, where up to a hundred people find space. Although the area is large, it was so cleverly laid out that it always stays cozy. There is even a sandbox for the little ones. You can find a bar as well as a snack bar. People are sitting on beer benches, enjoying the view. Even though the crowd often consists of young urban hipsters, everyone is welcome and you never feel out of place.

Klunkerkranich also offers a lot of different events. If you look at their homepage, you can check out the current program. In addition to markets, DJs, concerts, there are also readings and other events. They want to offer culture as well as a cool location.

Especially during summer this is a really magical and wonderful place, with its very own atmosphere! You should definitely put this on your to see list.
